Malloy's attempts at scanning The Shrine of Cinder naturally failed, showing no evidence on his scanner of anything existing where he and his fellow adventurers stood beyond their very own biomass.
Hearing an immense quake grow now, rumbling seemingly from every direction, our party is brought to the attention of a small speck of black upon the Shrine's atmosphere. Without knowing why or what that strange speck was, they found themselves unable to revert their gaze from what was now ever-expanding. Seemingly drawing closer at every second. Immense in presence yet tranquil in conduct, what was falling out of the sky towards our wayward journeyers was obviously taking it's time.
Fast-forward ten minutes of absolute silence among those assembled, the quaking grown of before has metamorphosized into a deafening groan of seeming immense suffering. Finally, breaking said line of sight one of our collective begins to shift. Unwillingly. Curiositas is yanked due to an unknown force out of Char's arms, now raising in turn towards the unknown figure descending out of the sky.

Curiositas struggled, saying to Char, "Warn the others to be ready if this thing has a physical form!"
He tried to communicate mentally with the figure, brushing it's conscience with his own.

Raising his eye to the horizon in curiosity, Malloy frowned upon sight of the massive...thing. It wasn't clear what it was, but it appeared huge. Immediately the thought of a large chunk of space rock falling towards them flashed through his mind before he dismissed it shortly after. Things were rarely that simple. Raising his hand somewhat in front of him, Malloy let the image of the dense rock around this place fill his mind, and as his device began to glow, he increased the density of his body and suit to enhance his defense by a large margin. He held a face that spoke little of fear, and simply precaution. As if he was doing it simply because.

"What in God's name..." the black miasma coiled and whipped in the air, getting closer every second. Vance wanted to run, to get away from this madness, but he couldn't, there was nowhere to run to, it was him, and his death staring him in the face, with nowhere to hide, "Is this the end?" He thought to himself, "Do I die here?" Vance saw the Lint girl trying to scream something, but the sound of this...thing, was drowning it out. "No," He though, "I won't let it end like this." Vance drilled his feet into the ash, raised his arms infront of him as defense and walked towards the enigma.

After feeling the earth trembling beneath and hearing a barely audible shout Coal jumped to his feet. Involuntarily, as if by reflex, Coal's arm had already taken form of a katana, a short glance to assess the situation was all he needed, someone new had appeared into the sky, "Was he friend or foe," these were the only thoughts running through his mind. He assumed a defensive stance, one where he could flee or fight for his life should the need arise. Coal now stood in wait trying to foresee this strangers next move.
