James exclaimed with a laugh, "Are you kidding? I see the old man every day. He's not so much the 'all powerful Commander that can wipe out entire armies' as he is the 'old man who's ball sack I used to swim around in,'" James said in a joking tone, "but enough chit chat, you can take the drink with you. We need to hurry up." James said, standing and making his way over to the door.

The hot desert sun beat down on the back of Kysce. Tumbleweed rolled by, although it didn't distract from the parched feeling the man had at the back of his throat. He needed to find water, and fast.
In the distance, Kysce could see a small grouping of buildings off in the distance. It had been a while since he had a nice, quiet place to rest his head, and the town seemed inviting enough.
___________________________________________________________________________
Looking down the sights, Survia could see the target. He was tall, a bit on the fat side, and bald. He was walking with a group of armed escorts towards a building, and he would be out of sight soon. Survia had been sent on a special assignment by the TSC, with a member of the Council itself.
"Are you going to take the shot or not?" Snipes whispered as he laid next to her, "If he goes in the building, I'm going to blow it up and then leave you behind to deal with the small army."
___________________________________________________________________________
"Captain, we'll be at the Bloodfist outpost soon. Would you like to discuss the plan of action with the troops?" The young Lieutenant asked as she stood at attention. Errion had been tasked with eliminated a group of Bloodfist that had been ambushing NGR convoys, and the battle would soon commence.

James and D'espion stepped outside the bar, the sun greeting them as they did, "Our ride'll be here in about... now," James said as D'espion could feel a rumbling, and see a dark figure coming from overhead.
As the figure grew larger and larger, D'espion could slowly make out the details of a small ship. It was a circular shape, but had what was clearly a cockpit pocking from the center.
The landing gear from the ship expanded, and the docking bay opening as D'espion and James saw a tall man standing at the top. He stepped into view, revealing himself to be taller than James, with buzzed brown hair, and a brown goatee. He wore a tan leather vest over a plain shirt, and a pair of roughed up jeans with tan work boots, "Brother!" He exclaimed with a smile as he walked down to James.
James nodded, extending his hand as the two met in a powerful bro hug of awesomeness, "Bro! I found a new Spectres trainee," he said in a cheerful tone.
"Oh?" Paul said with a curious tone. He glanced behind James, noticing D'espion. He walked over, extending his hand in a courteous manner, "Pleasure to meet ya, partner. Name's Paul, I'm James' friend."

Suriva nodded. Without a word, she pulled back the bolt-action lever on the rifle that she was given. Being a rather experienced assassin, Suriva's mentality changed. Normally, she was nice and caring, but now? In-the-zone? She thought of her targets as, well, targets. She looked down the sight, and squeezed the trigger, firing the special bullet into the predetermined targets head.

D'espion hadn't expected this. Paul wasn't on file. He quickly assessed the man. Looked courteous enough; kindly eyes. Looked almost imposing; bit of a bear of a man. Nice haircut. D'espion thought he looked like a mechanic, or an engineer. He smiled, leaning forward and grasping Paul's hand firmly. He shook. "Pleasure's mine, partner," he said, imitating the man's way of speaking. He wondered if James would notice; if he had been paying any attention, he definitely should.
"Well, er, shall we... head up?" He nodded up the ramp, giving a slightly nervous chuckle. D'espion's nerves were, in reality, on fire; he should be able to accomplish his mission soon. Sooner than he had imagined, but not without its fair share of trials and tribulations.
And Chaos. Always, there was always Chaos.

The bullet hit its mark. The man stopped walking for a moment, and seemed like he was reaching to see what the pain was. The man however, was interrupted by the fact that his head exploded into a million tiny pieces and went flying in several directions.
Snipes laughed loudly, slapping Suriva's back as he did, "Oh! Did you see that? I think a bit of his brain got in that one guy's eye! Let me find out," Snipes paused as he closed his eyes, "yup! I read his mind, he's got a bit of his brain in his eye! Good shot, you get to go back to the Olympus with me!" Snipes said as he grabbed her back. A bright purple light enveloped both of them, and soon they were no longer visible.
___________________________________________________________________________
"Yeah, we'll head on," James said, making his way up the dock and into the ship. Paul nodded, and motioned for D'espion to follow. Soon the group was strapped in, and on their way to the Olympus.
___________________________________________________________________________
In a bright purple flash, Snipes reappeared alongside Suriva in Snipes' room on the Olympus. He was still chuckling like a school boy, obviously amused by the man's head exploding, "The mission went better than I expected, you're in the Banshees. And hey, since you joined on your own free will I don't technically own you! Lucky you," he said in a somewhat sinister tone as he patted Survia on the back.

"Alright," James said as the elevator doors opened, revealing a fairly short hallway with a door off to the side, "when you talk to my dad, just relax and be a little respectful, but don't overdo it. He'll think you're brown nosing or something like that."
The door swooshed open, and at the other side D'espion could see a single man sitting behind a desk, wearing a black overcoat that was decorated with many medals. His hair was hidden by a cap with a platinum pendant of the TSC logo on the front. The man's face had many signs of years of battle, and a few small scars here and there. He had a few wrinkles, and his beard looked as if it was fading from black to gray. The man looked up from his paperwork, cocking an eyebrow at James.
James stepped aside to show D'espion, "Old man, I found the newest Spectres trainee!" He exclaimed with a bright smile.
Fallout sighed, pointing to the wall behind them, "Remember what happened last time?" He said as they turned and saw a large dent in the wall.
James snickered, "Yeah... but this guy's not some proud warrior like Miles was, right?" He asked, looking to D'espion.

Suriva cleared her throat. "Getting brain in your eye sounds fun, doesn't it?" she asked, making small talk, "What are these rounds called, exactly?"

-"Certainly lieutenant. Go to Intercom and have each squad's commanding officer sent to the Plot Room, and tell them I'll be there to broadcast in twenty minutes. I'll also require Lt. Andres and yourself present, as well as Captain Relix if he's available." -"Yes Captain, right away sir." the young officer answered with a tone of resolve. If he had any apprehension he certainly didn't show it. Errion almost admired Lt. Keiji's dedication. Though he'd had a natural aversion to the Captain's imposing visage at first, after a few months he'd adjusted and become one of the most dedicated and patriotic officers aboard the NGRS Skywasp. He sharply saluted and brisked away. -Errion returned the salute and made his way from his room in the officer's quarters up the passage towards Command. Just short of that was a larger, open room with brass embossments on the automatic doors labeling it "Plot Room". There was a large table designed to seat ten people with an electronic surface for holographic display. The Gryphon slipped a disc containing his strategy into the table's slot and stretched his great wings out, relaying the events to come in his head. -To his elevation, Naval Captain Relix was the first to arrive. His cooperation, as always, was integral to the success of the operation. Soon followed were Lieutenants Keiji and Andres as well as the six other Warrant Officers. -"Thank you for coming gentlemen, I'll get right to the point." Errion hated the formality of saying 'thank you for coming' when they all knew they were obligated, but how else could a briefing like this begin? He pressed a button on the side of the table, and a hologram of a building was projected upward atop it. It was two story, relatively rectangular and situated next to a field populated with an arrangement of scattered ships. -"This is the model of the target facility, assembled from the intelligence gathered. Our enemy is, as you well know, the Bloodfist organization of terrorism and piracy. I use the term "organization" loosely. However, by no means allows this as a notation to take them lightly. The Bloodfist are very fierce combatants. The are thought to be fully armed with conventional small weapons. -"They will not easily be taken alive, so directive is to "neutralize" any enemy national holding a weapon, be they actively posing a threat or otherwise. The same goes for runners and hiders. Basically, treat any Bloodfist personnel who is not on their knees with their hands clearly in the air as an armed threat. Be sure to be very clear about this to the squad you are assigned. -"Our strategy, as I see it is as follows." he pressed another button on the side of the table, allowing a holographic replica of the Heartworm Class ship to appear above the facility. -"Intelligence indicated that we are relatively expected. I expect they predict us to make a remote landing and invade through the main entrance to the south. However, what they don't know, i expect, is that they are dealing with a Heartworm Class ship. I propose we 'imprint' the ship upon the first level near the east entrance/exit leading to the shipyard." he pressed the button again. The hologram ship moved in and penetrated the side of the hologram building. -"From here, we will move in as follows. Teams 1, 3, 4, and 5 will move into the facility, securing it and neutralizing threats. Teams 1, and 5 will take the lower level, while Teams 3 and 4 will move to the upper floor. Teams 2 and 6 will move outward to secure the airfields, 'neutralizing' enemy personnel and disabling enemy ships. The key is to let as few enemy ships escape as possible. Ideally none at all. Lieutenant Andres will take head of Team 2, and Lieutenant Keiji will take Team 1. I'll head up Team 7 and spearhead the assault on the 2nd floor, where I expect their equivalent of command would be. Captain Relix, your thoughts?" -"I see no issue strategically." announced the naval captain's raspy voice. "I would expect any anti air resistance they could put together wouldn't be able to target versus the Skywasp's maneuverabilty. I can imprint into that wall alright. The issue is, the airlock gel will cover the gap, so Teams 2 and 6 will need to make their way to the east entrance/exit on their own." -"I'm sure they can manage, we'd be very near to it already." Errion assured him. "If there are no further comments, return to your squads and brief them on the strategy." -After an array of salutes and 'yes captains', the promptly left to take their battle stations. The two captains walked to the bridge together. When the arrived, Errion promptly made his way to the the Intercom desk. After a quick salute, the Internal Communications Officer took up his mic, and flipped a switch. -"Attention all personnel." the man dictated. "Standby for a message from Marine Captain Redfeather." he handed the mic to Errion, allowing the Gryphon to clear his throat before flipping the switch. -"Marines, this is your Captain speaking. As I'm sure you are being informed by your squad leaders, we will soon be launching an attack against an outpost of the marauder group Bloodfist. I need not remind you that this is an act of retribution for their crime against our fellow NGR. Some of you may know fellow members of the service that were attacked by these brigands. They are a lawless and vicious organization that gives and craves no quarter. They are fierce fighters, but nothing that our superior training cannot overcome. Keep the memories of those lost in the back of your minds as we cleanse this facility of the Bloodfist threat. I know every man aboard the Skywasp will give his all and then some, as I will. Lets give them blood and vinegar, marines! Report to your Imprintment Stations. We will be moving in within the hour. This is Marine Captain Errion Redfeather, over and out." -Errion moved swiftly back to his cabin, replacing his formal uniform with his battle garb and chest plate. He took up his javelin "Raptor" and rapped it against his chest. He very deliberately marched down to Team 7's Imprintment Deck, working himself up as he went along. His entire mentality was devoted to one thing: battle.

Snipes shrugged at Suriva's question, "I didn't design them. I barely even use them. I prefer making their heads explode with TK, or setting their organs on fire. Oh! And slipping behind their lines, and slitting the leader's throat. That's always fun to watch from the vents!" Snipes said with a sick laugh, "Now, I need to feed my cat. Anything else you needed?"

The officer cringed a bit at Hyde's offer, "No thank you, I'm fine..." he said, adjusting his collar and clearing his throat, "the reason we're here isn't fully inspection related. We've found... something, and we'd like a scientist to analyze it. The only one around was you, and we'll pay you for your trouble. Can you help us?" He asked.

The Bloodfist outpost was filled with a sense of anarchy in the air as the marauders sat around doing their usual routine of loafing around and bragging among each other about who had committed the most acts of murder in the past month.
Vincent was sitting in the corner, away from the rest of them when he saw a young Bloodfist burst open the door, "NGR ship on the way! If you wanna live, get a weapon and get ready!" ___________________________________________________________________________
Valad could see it ahead of him, the Syndicate hideout he had been searching for. He had caught wind that the woman responsible for his current state had dealings with them, and they would more than likely have information to her current location.
From where he stood, he noticed the hideout was fairly well guarded, his heightened eyes allowing him to see snipers stationed on the roof, along with a few guards armed with assault rifles patrolling the outer wall.

Although Hyde was slightly nervous about these Thunderfist's coming into his laboratory, his scientific curiosity got the better of him, making him forget about the blood stain that still remained from the now non-existent 'patients', that seemed so very lively a few moments ago.... "Oooh, I am always happy to help in all fields of science, what would this 'specimen' be exactly?"

Valad came out of cover to pear at the snipers, black hair covering his glowing red eyes. "Pests." He pulled his long barreled, silver, engraved pistol out of its holster on his left leg. He pulled a thin, also engraved silencer out of a sleeve on the same holster, and put it on his gun. He patted the gold-hilted sword on his thigh. "You're next, worry not." He took aim at the snipers, using some of his power to fuel his senses, enhance his abilities, And shot four shots, making little more sound than a soft 'ping'. Four snipers fell.
Valad smiled, and took off the silencer, and put the pistol away. He saw one of the guards stand up fast, and take a strong hold of his gun. Valad smiled, So much for stealth. Good.
He came out from cover, opening himself to view. The guard called for backup and rushed over to him, within seconds Valad had many large guns pointed at him. "Greetings, bastards. I've come to kill you all." They began to shoot him. His blood sprayed the ground, and his body was riddled with bullets. He jerked and spasmed, black cloak billowing about him, and fell to the ground. The guards gathered around his body, and one kicked his corpse. "Well that was fucked up," one said.
They started to lose attention on his body after a second, and discussed what to do with it. They turned to go back into the base, probably to get a superior's advice. Time to feed. Bullet holes seemed to seal on Valad's body, blood flowed back into him, and in a whirl of shadow, he was restored to his normal form. With a roar, he leaped on the soldiers from behind. He grasped one around the neck, sinking his sharp teeth in and with one sharp twist, snapped his neck. He drained some blood from him, and tore away savagely. He tore through a few like butter. He lept on another guard just as he raised his gun to fire into Valad's chest. He ignored the bullets, and tore the guard to pieces. A few of the others were firing useless bullets into Valad's back as he did his grim work. Valad stood when they both ran out, and pulled his long, gold hilted sword from its sheith. It's blade was too long for any normal human to use effectively, practically a claymore. In two long, over handed sweeps Valad cut into the guards, spraying their blood. The three that were left wildly ran away, but Valad pulled his long barreled pistol on them and blew a large hole in two of them, and shooting the knee out of the third.
He put his weapons away, and waltzed over to where the sole remaining guard left. He grabbed him by the back of his shirt, pulling him up with ease. "Up." The guard wept, and looked pale from bloodloss. "I like to look into the eyes of those I destroy." He said with relish, and then bit down on his neck, and drained his blood, boistering his power. The body dropped to the ground when he tired of the taste. "A+. So gritty." Valad said, and started toward the facility again.

"SIR!" A man exclaimed as he barged into the room where Anders was sitting, "a man has broken through the gates and killed all the guards. And according to some reports, he's a vampire as well. What are we to do?" The man asked, obvious in a frantic state.
Anders glared at the man who barged in, immediately whipping out a pistol and blasting the man in the forehead, "I knew that bitch would bring trouble. I should never have dealt with her. Fucking vampires..." Anders muttered. He stood up from his chair, grabbing another pistol before walking out of the room.
The large doors swung open as Valad saw a lone man standing there, wearing only a brown business suit and matching fedora. He held two guns at his side, and stood in a cocky stance as he spoke, "And you're invading my home why?" He asked.

Valad stopped his long stride, and quirked his head to one side. His long hair fell into his face, and his sharp features looked bored and uninterested. "I am looking for information on the woman that sired me. Your 'home' has it, and so I will get it." Valad said, his deep and accented voice protreyed that he knew what he had said to be fact. Valad drew his sword, not even bothering with the pistol. He held it in one hand, leaving his other open. Then he threw his head back and roared a ferocious roar, it sounded unearthly, unreal, horrifying. As he roared, his teeth seemed to lengthen, and his already massive self stood tall. His dark cloak flowed around him in an odd fashion, because there was no wind. He stopped roaring, and looked at the man bored again. "Im hungry," he stated, and charged at him, fast as a shot. He swung his sword at the man's arm, not wanting to kill him. He was hungry, afterall.

Vincent got out of his chair, watching his brothers revel in the thought of bloodshed. They grabbed their weapons and rushed outside, eager to paint the battlefield in blood. They began to shout and cheer "Let's show them who's boss!" "I can't wait to smash some skulls!" "Finally some action!" As Vince casually walked outside. As he opened the door he heard, "Only one ship!? What the fuck!" Vince looked up to see the single ship floating there. The marauders shouted cries of battle, awaiting for the NGR troops to disembark.

"Er, no, sir," D'espion muttered, casting his eyes from the dent to the floor. What the hell? Seriously, though, what the hell? He met Fallout's eyes and said, "My name is D'espion, sir. Your... eccentric son has given me the opportunity to join the Spectres- or, at least, train for them. If I understand correctly, there will be trials, sir? Because, if so, I'm more than ready." A bit thick, perhaps, but he was eager.

Anders brought up a pistol to meet the sword, blocking the attack as he looked Valad right in the eye, "That bitch? Hell, why don't I tell you about her. You beat me, and I'll tell you whatever you wanna know! Been too long since I had a good fight!" He exclaimed with a laugh.
He lifted the other pistol, and blasted the side of the sword. This caused it to be blasted away from his gun, allowing him to quickly dash over to the side, and fire off a volley of shots directly at Valad.

"You sound sure about that," Fallout said as he leaned back in his chair. He looked at D'espion with a curious face, almost as if he was inspecting the man. "I get plenty of requests from men who've proved their loyalty to the TSC every day, and some guy just strolls in? What's so special about you exactly? Why do you stand out from everyone else?"
"Well I brought him in here. That a good enough reason?" James asked, a slightly smug expression on his face.
Fallout glared at James, looking at him with an, 'I'll send you to your room,' face.

"Sir, I've been trained my entire life in the art of magic. I've wiped out entire hordes of men, beasts, and, Hell, even forests. That one's a long story, but I'm good with wind." D'espion was in his groove now, persuading the old man without using magic. He needed to see if he still had it.
"I aided your son in destroying an attacking force of Bloodfist, and, although I'm fairly positive he could've done it on his own, I took out my fair share- and by that I mean half. I can control every element under the sun, and, for that matter, under several other suns. I have recieved knowledge from the Hoovoo, and I have retained it to this day. I also bring something rather... special, you could say, to the table."
D'espion took a deep breath, not used to revealing his personal secrets, and stated, "I can control Chaos. Well, that's inaccurate; the control of chaos is, in itself, a paradox. I can make it appear, use it to wreak havoc upon an enemy army. I can bring fire and brimstone down from the sky, or, more likely, up from the molten center of the planet. So, sir, I think I'd make a valuable addition. Oh, one last thing. I have a brilliant mind- and that's been scientifically proven. An IQ of over 150. Necessary, really, for controlling magic to the extent I do. But I am also an amazing strategist and tactician."
