"Jaxon's right," Twen said, getting out of her chair, "A lot of this plan seems to focus on what happens on landing. What are we supposed to do once we touch down? I'm not even sure we all even remember what the mission is." She sat back down.

Tuck's eyes widened. He sighed. Rookies. He turned to Jaxon and Twen first, "We will discuss what happens planet side when we are on the ship, closer to our destination. This mission is above top secret, and I am forbidden to inform you more on that part of it until we arrive. However," he paused and looked for a specific command on the display set into the round holotable. He tapped a command in, and a shimmering forcefeild came down around them and the table. It cast a light blue glow on them all. In response to questioning glances he said "Sound barrier." He shook his head and continued, "We are looking for what the Hypo-Weapons have called, Project 1. One of our informants said it was on Grizz, so thats where we're going. Plus if it gives us an excuse to attack and destroy the Hypo-Weapon main base, who is to argue?" He turned to Vectus next, and smiled. The expression looked out of place slightly on his war-torn face. "And as for the Avenger, she is the biggest and badest of the Human Faction fleet. My... older brother is her Captain. We will be in good hands...." He paused again, and his smiled widened further, "And her 464 HellLance batteries will keep us safe too." He smiled. No one ship in the entire galaxy had as much fire power as the Avenger, or as great of a FTL drive. His brother was lucky to have her.

"What is Project 1," Jaxon asked curiously.

"And you're sure this informant is trustworthy?" Twen said. "And don't you think attacking their main base with such a small team is a bit too...ballsy?" She had a look of doubt on her face.

Tarak had nothing to contribute to this conversation, he didn't know why but felt that he should just sit and watch this whole thing play out, he was never good with these kind of things anyway.
He merely stayed where he was, sitting on the ground and quietly casting basic enchantments that created gleaming octarine letter that floated through the air around him, making Tarak smile in delight from the sight.

"Hang on a minute, I've got traces of weapon blood in me, the hypo-weapons might think of me as a friend rather than an invader, and besides I'm a shadowglave assassin, I know how to stay un-noticed, and if anything goes wrong I can warp out of there before the shit hits the fan, what do you say?"

"That's true," Jaxon said," As mush as I don't like the shadowglave I will give them credit for choosing good assassins."

Tuck shook his head. "No. We go in as a team, we need a group big enough to sweep the base, but not too big as to draw in a whole fleet. What we have will be enough," he said, nodding almost to himself. He walked around the table to look at them all individually. "We will need all of your individual skills, and expertise. Project 1 is a mystery, but we know one thing for sure," He paused, and bit the inside of his lip. Here we go. "The Hypo-Weapons are planning something, something involving Weapons, and war. And if we don't act and try and stop them in any way we can, the galaxy will suffer. Many billions will die. Not might, will. That's a fact." Tuck took a deep breath, and assumed a Commander-ly visage. "Now is that all for questions, or shall we move on?"

Twen looked the commander dead on. "You still haven't answered my other question." She paused for a moment. "This informant of yours. Can we trust him? It wouldn't take much to make this mission go wrong. Are you absolutely sure your informant is trustworthy?"

He looked at her. "I should think so. The information that they had a new project underway came from my brother. It was his last transmission before he dissapeared, assumed KIA." He turned briskly away from her. Not your fault. You told him not to take the assignment...

"Oh..." She said, losing the harsh tone in her voice, "I...I'm sorry. I didn't know..."

"People die commander, and we blame ourselves because there is nobody else to blame, your brother wouldn't have wanted you to blame his death on you," Rahm paused, "I'm surrounded by death everyday, but I keep myself strong by thinking posotively, when someone dies...nobody can bring them back, and one day you have to accept your never going to see them again."

"I know that damn it!" He roared, turning on Rahm. His normally calm face looked outraged. Tuck couldn't help but remember that day, he was only 8 at the time...
"Brother, don't go." He said, tugging his much older brother's pant leg. Reshi looked down at his little brother, and smiled kindly. He was very handsome, but he didn't seem vain about it like some people tend to. He seemed to have grown into his body well, which was odd because he had only recently turned 18. His normally long black hair was cropped short, just one of the things that had changed since he joined the Human Faction military. Reshi bent down and ruffled his little brother's hair. "Its my first assignment, little guy. I gotta go!" Little-Tuck frowned and clutched a teddy bear to his chest. "But what if you don't come back? Mommy wont stop crying, she says we'll never see you again." Reshi shook his head and laughed his easy-light laugh. He was a very open kind of person. "I don't have to worry about that," he said, "I've got you. You'll come looking for me if I don't turn up, right?" Little-Tuck smiled broadly in a child-like fashon and nodded happily.
Tuck came back into his present self, the 54 year old man, a seasoned vet. in a rush of colour. He realised he had been staring at Rahm rather oddly. "Sorry," He said roughly. He turned his back to the group. "So.... shall we head off to the shuttles, to get on board the Avenger?"

"Right," Tuck said, and stalked off, leading these new recruits off to the shuttles. Bloody hell. First day, already snapping. This should go well.
They walked through the halls, feet clattering on the metal floors. The forest outside looked very beautiful in the setting sunlight. They reached the shuttlebay, a large square room with big tubes, containing the circular shuttles. "Come on, you lot." Tuck said. He went straight to one of the tubes, and tapped some coordinates onto the datapad there. The doors to the shuttle opened with a sharp hiss, reveiling the inside. It was large enough to hold all of them, and a few more. Tuck went inside, as did the rest of the rag-tag-team. When Tuck hit the button to launch them, it was a bit like having your internal organs thrust to the bottom of their bodies. Lights flashed by the viewports, faster and faster. The whole shuttle started to vibrate. Then, they shot out of the launching tube with a Thunk. The forest below them was shining and green, and getting smaller and smaller. The trees started to look like toothpicks, and they could just make out a large city on the horizan. When they hit the atmosphere, they air outide the shuttle turned to a bright orange-yellow. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXFME5odJCU Listen while reading for added effect!) They couldn't see much else for that few moments, until they broke free. The cabin in which they all stood stopped shaking, and the shuttle changed course slightly. The moon came into sight after a few moments. There was a speck on the far side. "There she is." Tuck said to no one in perticular. He seemed much happier now. As they neared the moon, it became clear that the ship was on the other side. They started to round the moon, and saw more of the front of the ship. And more, they started to see multiple gun bays. And more, they saw a massive glass dome where the control station was. And more, They saw the sides flare out to massive wings. And more, They saw huge Super-Lance cannons on the front. Then they saw the back engines, which extended into even bigger engines in the back. The ship loomed up on them. It was big, and when they got closer, they realised. It was bigger than the entire moon across. A voice came across the intercom in the shuttle, "Welcome to the Avenger boys and girls. I'll open up the shuttle bay doors for you to land. The captain and the first officer will be there to meet you." the voice cut off without further ado. They reached a pair of circular shuttle doors, which opened and admitted them. They shuttle docked with a clucking sort of noise. Latches clamped down, and the area was pressurized. The doors opened to two men, one of which was dressed in a green uniform, dark hair flayed out of his hat. He smiled and held his arms open wide, and roared in a rough voice. "Brother!" he said. Tuck broke into a smile and rushed to hug his younger brother. "Vincent!" Tuck laughed, pulling away, "How are you?" Vincent patted Tuck's back fondly, "I'm well! Being Captain of the Human Faction's best ship is working for me. The power is already going to my head!" "Well I suppose something had to be in that empty head of yours!" Tuck laughed, his normally strict and emotionless face was wrought with mirth. The first officer to Vincent's right looked incredibly uncomfortable. Vincent pulled away from Tuck, and turned to the rest of the group. "And who are you lot? What'cha think of my ship?" He asked, face wide with a big smile.
