- Kex seemed quite fascinated by the state of the walls, and adjusted his eyes to examine them closer, moving a hand over the wires as if he desired to sync with them, Paul pulling his attention away from the intricate wiring and flashing lights. Quickly fixing his posture, Kex nodded at his greeting. "Greetings Captain James M. Wanderer's friend...Paul." He responded after a moment of analyzing his face. "Correct. I am KEX Model #256978, Combat specialist sniper division, medical modular version...but most simply refer to me as Kex. Simple, as less then 2% of humans can recall such a long digit with no meaning to them. Except math teachers. But even then." Kex seemed amused by this, the light in his 'eyes' hinted at this...though he was pretty sure that was always there. Turning his head to the one at the helm, Kex changed the topic. "Are you said Captain of this vessel? The data on the pilot seems incredibly well encrypted, as are most individuals on this vessel...peculiar." Kex announced partially to himself. "Am I working with ghost operatives? I feel I should know if that is the case, as the last ghost operatives I worked with were not pleased with my decision to broadcast their radio channel to an old folks home in the next city over. I believe the phrase they used was 'War of the Worlds effect'. I simply felt the elderly would enjoy their conversation on infiltrating and detonating an atomic device." Kex spoke fast here and quickly changed the subject from the one from his past and turned to the ship around him. "This vessel is incredibly well designed. I desire greatly to investigate further and learn the secrets of how it operates...however my memory seems to warn that military officials do not like when you open top secret files, even if it is because you greatly appreciate their design and wish to know more about it yourself. Other then this and a desire for orbital support should we encounter hostile forces of some kind, possibly involving a large laser, I have come to introduce myself and 'get to know' my fellow employees as it were. My last official informed me it was very important I 'warn' people as soon as I arrive."

Alexander at once forgot the conversation he was currently having and turned back to Ahrok. At last, some action! "I would relish it, so long as I get to have some fun at the bottom," he said, one hand resting on the hilt of his sabre. He licked his fangs in eager anticipation. He saw so very well in battle, when the heat rising from the combatants and blood spilling from wounds met his eyes, he truly felt powerful. Boasting would only get him so far, there was no disputing the sight of him disemboweling an adversary with a mere flick of his wrist. It did not occur to him to ask if he would even survive the drop, he was somewhere else entirely.

Davien looked to Arohk, a slight smile in the corner of his mouth, "Such things will not harm me." he said in his usual gruff but serious voice, his encantations still glowing in his eyes, giving him an almost un-natural look to his face, although in such a place as this galaxy, there are very few things that can be counted as 'natural'. The other 'people' that surrounded Davien as he stood against the wall however, did not look as if they would survive such a fall, they all seemed weedy and thin, bar one or two, these 'people', on the other hand, were a part of a special group of warriors, hand picked to fight the TSC's enemies, this made Davien think twice about the weakness' and strengths of this party, it did not make him think twice about the trustworthiness of these people however, in Davien's eyes, it would take a while before he would think that any of these people could be trusted.

'A skirmish? We're being tossed into the fray so soon? No. This is my chance then. I won't make the same mistakes again.' A grave expression swallowed Zethinir's previous light hearted demeanor. "I'm ready whenever you issue the order, Arohk sir." His chest was beating and a trembling nervousness pulsated through his stiffening limbs. It had been all too long since he had engaged in any form of combat. Could he do it again? Could he stand face to face with those ready to spill blood? Would he lose control? The right path always seemed so impossible to pursue.

Skye left behind the conversation that her teammates were having at the word "combat". Her lips conveyed a slight smile.
"Yes, Arohk to answer your question. My armor will protect me."
If I land the proper way.
Still Skye wasn't very nervous. She had jumped from some great heights before. She was more excited than anything. She felt some of the mixed emotions around the room of her team. Skye rolled her neck in anticipation, and arched her back for it to crack.
Show time. Skye thought silently to herself, her eyes glistening, ready for the thrill of the fall and the fighting.

'... did they forget to tighten the bolts on this one? Ain't too sure he's all there...' Paul thought to himself as he listened closely to KEX, inspected him a bit more than previous. He seemed like he'd be able to handle himself in a fight, even if he was a bit overly enthusiastic about everything.
The pilot almost immediately spun his seat around, eyeing KEX like a father eyeing some young punk that was taking his daughter to the dance, "Major Green, and yes I'm the pilot of this baby. She is beautiful, isn't she? The Transportation Model F Version 897-C, but you can call her the Chariot. It's understandable that you'd wanna take a peak at her. But she's a picky woman. You need to earn her trust before she'll let you see the lovelies, you know? She might let you see a bit more of her when she's warmed up to you. For now? Just stick with the files you don't need a password to open."
Paul just shook his head and sighed. Green's relationship (he REALLY didn't like to think of it as that) with the Chariot had always disturbed him. Turning to KEX and trying to get horrible images of what Green would do if left alone to this ship, he spoke up, "We're not really a ghost operation. One of the less than prestigious perks that comes with being a Sentinel is making a lot of enemies. Our names are well known, but details that could lead to us waking up with a dagger in our throat tends to be left out of the public eye," he said, taking a more casual tone as he leaned against the wall next to Green's chair.
___________________________________________________________________________
Onna too nodded in response to Arohk. For some strange reason she didn't speak. Arohk blamed it on a woman problem, something that was far beyond his simplistic comprehensions. He smiled, looking around at everyone, "Then let us drop into glorious ba-" he stopped as he was cut off by the sharp ding that signaled the intercom.
"Captain Arohk? I have another report from Outpost Theta once more. It seems that Sargent Anderson has been taken prisoner, and is currently being held at the attacking force's base. Would you like to change the plan of action to accommodate these new developments?" The robotic female voice asked, strangely keeping her always optimistic tone.
Arohk nodded in response, "Of course! I can see it now!" Arohk exclaimed as he waved his arm through the air, "I shall single handedly defeat the forces that attack Outpost Theta, while my brave Sentinels in training mount a rescue mission of upmost importance to save the brave Sargent Anderson, who was taken in the line of duty!" He exclaimed again, clenching his fist and staring into space as if he was playing out the entire battle in his mind, "Yes... YES! Tell me, how many attack Outpost Theta?"
"No fewer than one hundred, no more than one fifty, Captain," the woman voice responded.
Within a mere fraction of a second Arohk's face turned from one of excitement and anticipation, to one of disappointment and sorrow. He looked as if his parents had just told him that he wouldn't be able to get the new bike he was promised for Christmas, and would have to settle with a hand me down, "Bu-but... I... I won't even need my swords for such a low number... this is..." He couldn't finish the sentence. His head had sunk low, and he grumbled silently to himself as the ship drew closer to their destination.
___________________________________________________________________________
Arohk explained the plan as they drew closer to the planet known as Kinstar. It was simple. Arohk would assist the men stationed at Outpost Theta, and learn more about who was attacking. The recruits would be sent to the Raider's base, and be divided into two teams. The first would consist of Onna and Skye, who had to rescue an injured Anderson. Their secondary goal would be to gather any information they could about the raiders who attacked the Outpost. Davien, Zeth, and Alexander would remain outside the base, drawing attention to themselves and buying Onna and Skye more time to gather intel, and rescue Anderson.
As the ship seemed to descend, they could hear the sound of steel grinding and air pressure hissing. The back was opened, and Arohk stood to walk over. Looking down he only let out a small sigh. Bodies littered the desert landscape like ants, and explosions were going off from several places all around the battle like small sparks. To most? It was war. To Arohk? It was little more than a tiny squabble that he had been tasked to deal with. He turned around to face the team, giving a quick wave before hopping out of the ship, and plunging into the chaos below. The ship's door's soon closed again, and the crew were on their way to the Raider outpost.
Within minutes the ship's back opened again, and the female's voice played again, "This is where we part ways. I do hope you've enjoyed the flight, and we hope to see you again!" It exclaimed in its usual optimistic tone.
Looking down, the group could see a rather large fort below their ship, one that looked as if it could easily house hundreds of troops with ease. Men poured out of the gates, heading towards Outpost Theta in the hopes that they'd be able to stop whatever carnage Arohk was causing.

Davien leaped from the ship as he pulled his greatsword from its holster on his back, his face barely changing in expression as he too, fell towards the ground, his sword now held downwards with the hilt against his face. "DEATH FROM ABOVE!" He shouted, the sound almost just as loud as the explosions happening around him as Davien smashed against the ground, earth and body parts flew through the air as a shock wave shook the ground from Daviens fall, his body now glowing with a sickly red tinge to it. He pulled the sword from the ground, cracks now rippling through the area around him as the shock wave continued to reverberate through the earth, sending raiders to the ground as Davien leaped towards them, his greatsword hacking through whole soldiers with single swipes, subsequently slashing through five more as they tried to counter him, there swords and bullets merely clanking against his now almost pitch black armour. By the time Davien even started thinking about what he was doing, there already was a large circle of dead and dying bodies littering around him, with raiders now purposfully keeping away from Davien as they tried to bring the hulk of a man down, constantly firing their weapons at him, but to no avail, one raider however, seemed to have more of a will to live than the others, as he tried to run away only for him to fall at Daviens feet in panic, begging for the paladin to show mercy as he picked the young man up, with Davien only to spit in the man's face and crush his chest with the sheer force of his own fist, blood splurting over both himself and the raiders around Davien. The old paladin smiled, relishing in the feeling of killing the evil and the cowardly, his stamina easily sustaining him as he continued to obliterate the enemy lines, leaving great swathes of dismembered bodies as he advanced deeper into the enemy territory, an almost malicious and sadistic smile creeping over his face as he threw enemies into their own comrades, making even the most stalwart soldiers waver in the sight of such a gargantuan man charging at them. Due to this, however, Davien had no idea what he was doing, his berserker rage fuelling him, there were no screams, there was no time, Davien's voice was hollow and in-human, and it only spoke death.

Before they left, Alexander turned and bowed to Onna and Skye, "Farewell ladies, may the stars shine in your favor," he cooed before strutting after Davien. He shifted as they walked, his face elongating so his mouth could house his deadly fangs. He watched Davien with great interest, making a mental note of his fighting style. Alexander lept and turned over once in the air, making more of a show of his arrival than was quite necessary. He landed on a somewhat soft pile of corpses, his long flexible limbs dispersing the shock of the fall well enough. Draw attention to himself? Perfect. In seconds his body had lengthened and his arms nearly drug on the ground. He cut open any stomach that he saw with one hand behind his back, yawning vainly as he did. He drove his sword deep into the gullet of one soldier, leaving him frozen. His jaws parted in a wicked serpentine grin, with a savage hiss, he jerked his blade free and let the soldier fall. The blood made his credo shine even brighter as he slashed it artfully through his foes. Surprisingly, he was not offering any witty remarks or cruel laughter as he fought. Only the horrible hisses and guttural sounds of a wild animal left him.

-Kex simply looked at Green for a long moment, his eyes adjusting somewhat in on his face, before zooming to examine the panel behind him, then back. "Major Green." He began. "You are aware the probability of an inanimate object returning such feelings of general lust and debauchery is less then 0.01%? Unless you consider proton missiles a form of love. In which case Major, your chases are much higher." Kex seemed almost generally happy for the man at this, as if he were telling him his wife agreed to marriage. "However you should be aware affection with an object normally leads from 7 to 10 years in the local Psych Ward...High standing in the military or no." It was then that Kex completely flipped the topic, turning to Paul with a somewhat glint in his 'eyes'. "Making enemies is generally part of such covert ops. With access to such an impressive ship and a team as deadly as the ones I have seen, such enemies no doubt remain in the low hundreds of thousands... Perhaps you should consider dagger proof turtle neck sweaters? One commanding officer reminded me he couldn't sleep without it when I was around. I assumed he meant he doubted my abilities, thus I made sure to booby trap his entire base against entry...things did not go well however as coffee is, apparently, more important to those humans then a nail grenade land mine."

Skye took a second to look down and register the ground beneath her. She backed up a bit, then took a running start and then Skye was sailing through the air.
Skye felt the wind every where on her body. Her body relaxed as it laid out, sprawled, it tumbled in the air to the ground, but in a most graceful form. Her lips was in a slight grin, and her hair whipped upwards. Skye's eyes were open, taking in everything at once.
Alexander...seems kind...maybe the best...Onna...we'll see what she can bring...Arohk...I don't even know...Davien....nice battle style...Zeth...alright.... Skye's thoughts where broken and short about her teammates as she was coming to the end of her flight. Her main focus was on landing correctly.
At last the ground made contact with Skye, and she barreled rolled to take the impact. She jumped to her feet quickly, her body in an automatic defense mode. She scanned for enemies to attack her. When she didn't find any immediate danger, she ran off to go find a temporary hiding place to wait for Onna to arrive.

Onna waited for each of her teammates to jump out of the hatch, then stood in the opening, hair whipping around her face. She watched as they tumbled through the air, one hand resting against the side of the hatch. Finally, after watching everyone but Zeth descend, Onna stepped into the air and spread her arms, closing her eyes and participating in a thrilling free-fall. Pulling a dagger out of the belt on her thigh, Onna opened her eyes a split-second from landing on an enemy, and plummeted her blade into the side of its neck as she landed on him, the muscles in her legs rippling to absorb the shock from landing on her feet. Twisting her blade to plunge it deeper in order to make sure the enemy under her was dead, Onna hissed, and stood once more, pulling her knife out of her enemy and bringing it to her lips. Swiftly, Onna licked the blood off of her blade and turned to run to where she had seen Skye hide. Suddenly, a man stepped in front of Onna, sword drawn, and Onna smirked. Planting one foot, she swung the other up to kick the blade from his hands. She sent it flying, and he took a step back. Hissing viciously, Onna ran at him, drawing her sniper, and ran up his chest, kicking him further away and jumping back off him, doing a backflip and, shooting him mid-air, landing a few feet from him with no problem. Because of the silencer, her shot made little noise, and drew no attention to her. Placing it on her back again, Onna continued to run toward Skye's position. Slowing to a crouch beside Skye, Onna looked to the woman, and gestured for her to follow, sneaking around their hiding place and away from the battle, planning to stop somewhere safe to make a plan.

The last to plummet into the fray Zethinir dove head-first, his raven locks streaming behind him like an ebon ember against the soft sky. His arms were shaking as he descended though it was hardly noticeable given the situation. He took deep gasps has he tried futilely to calm his composure, his body still beating with anticipation. His gasps shortened as he closed his eye and sought to find a center of calmness. He remembered the teachings of the old man who'd taught him much, his teacher, and managed to fight the anxiety.
As he opened his eyes he was assaulted with an impeding death, mere meters from the ground. Acting quickly he molded the air into a spherical current under himself, rather large in size, to cushion the impact. With a sharp turbulence that, but for a fleeting moment, drowned out all else on the clamoring battlefield, the incredible force of gales pushed in all directions toppling over several people near him as others stumbled.
He wasn't intent on wasting any time. Once he rediscovered his land legs he began to focus his energy, manipulating the air into a flurry of daggers that swirled entropically around him. His style was vicious. Creating a similar vortex of cutting winds he began to assault the combatants individually as that was all his mastery of the element would allow him. Focusing intently the vortex scathed the man on every inch of his body. This was a tactic Zethinir had never fully mastered, doubt gnawing at his abilities. The men he assaulted fell, one by one, completely immobilized due to the sheer pain that plagued them.
Zethinir wasn't sure how long he could keep up fighting like this, the seemingly fruitless labor putting a large strain on him. The vortex around him did well to foil the trajectories of any flying steel that sought to skewer him. Several minutes into the fight he became reacquainted with the old days as the task became mundane.

And suddenly, for no explicable reason, Davien began to crey.
