~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~LORE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two million years in the future the conventional rules of life that we now live by don't apply. Reality ebbs and changes, fluctuating. If it were a musical number, it would be chaotic and incomprehensible. If it were an art piece, it's spectrum of genres would be un-classifiable.
Humanity was born to adapt, and as it grew more and more powerful in turn so did reality have to adapt to humanity. As their technology grew in capability, humans soon found themselves able to change reality further than they ever dreamed. Things equivalent to magic became simplistic standard actions; things that even a child could do with ease. Science, though it had carried people far, eventually was a thing of the past. Reality became a toy in comparison to some people's power, and in turn all that people had considered constant permanent rules of life became tools, and eventually sentient beings.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~PLAYABLE RACES~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In game there are 7 playable races, and one race modifier that one can use in order to alter their character further. Creatures exist in three separate ways: As warmbloods, coolbloods, and meta-creatures.
Warmbloods
Humans: Standard in game, representing the most basic character one can start off with. No weaknesses, no strengths. A blank slate. In game they are the most ancient race in the universe, and founded all forms of technologies up till this point in game, though for some strange reason the last historical record they posses occurred one million years ago. All knowledge of how technology functions have been lost, and altering the rules of reality are considered how life has always been.
Neclins: Humans that maintained levels of control over technology after death, and through this have become immune to many otherwise fatal attempts at their lives. They have metalic skin that coats their ever-rotting corpses. Through sacrificing natural attunment with technology, as they are constantly rotting away, they attain a much higher likelyhood to survive in an everchanging world.
Alterals: Humans that have chosen to warp their forms, adjoining themselves to technological forces at the sacrifice of using their own life essence to power each utilization of reality warping disciplines. At the same time, they have the most natural attunement towards tech compared to all other warmbloods. They are generally considered to be disgusting mutations of humans and as such have been exiled from human society, unlike the Neclins who have been embraced. Due to their constant utilization of their bodies as fuel for their power, they live for very short life-spans compared to other warmbloods. Proportionate to modern day humans, however, they live seemingly eternally.
Coolbloods
Skerent: Intelligent beings that evolved from cuttlefish-like lifeforms found on earth a million and a half years ago, now comparable to humanity in terms of intellect and capability. They currently live alongside humans in a state of co-existence. Without the utilization of technology they can shape-shift, hypnotize simple life-forms, and though they do not start out as technologically attuned as humans, they learn at a much faster rate than any human or human derivative life-form could ever attempt to.
Erg: Hailing from a shadowy gaseous planet far away from the human homeworkd, Erg are an alien species adapted to live in the poisonous neon-colored bio-luminescent rain forests of a planet with pitch-black skies. Possessing abstract methods of thought compared to earth-like creatures, the Erg find human technology to be incomprehensible. Instead they chose to use their mind-altering capabilities to have others warp reality for them, and as such are never found away from a humanoid form of life outside of their home planet. Physically they resemble smokey-purple faded stone with immense gemstone eyes, physically similar to lemurs.
Lint: Lint are a hybrid species born from an experiment in which all races of the universe were attempted to be fused into one, resulting in a coldblooded species of monstrosities which the set of rules the universe let live because they thought it was "funny". Possesing grotesquely warped forms they saunter around the universe endlessly, possesing both eternal life and the highest form of sentience and understanding, but are forbiden from ever altering their physical state. In trade for possesing the greatest power potential of all races, the Lint suffer immensely.
Vestigials
Meta existent entities that technically exist as part of the universe itself, not as a form of life nor as a non-sentient object. Instead they are a population of personified aspects of forces within the universe, varying and constantly changing as often as the universe does. This results in constantly changing what each character can do at all times. (In game the player decides how they change in terms of abilities, but only under certain parameters provided by the DM. Vestigials are not confined to a class, but instead can only have 7 abilities at a time.)
Leapers
Leapers are any form of life other than vestigials that have ascended so far in their quest to attune themselves with nature that they have reached a vestigial-like state. They are hybrids between any of the six races and vestigials, and as such they are constantly shifting their individual powers similarly to vestigials, but are confined instead to the abilities of their class. All classes other than vestigials can have a maximum of 20 abilities, but start out with 5
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~CLASSES~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Opticlos: A class of manipulator that relies on the manipulation of visible objects and forces in order to alter reality. If one can see a force acting upon another, the Opticlos can alter those forces to suit their will. At lower levels they are confined to things like throwing and moving objects, and conjuration.
Micros: Manipulators that focus on the manipulation of forces that creatures cannot naturally precieve. Though at lower levels they are confined to simply altering the state of matter something is in, in order to use it for their bidding. At higher levels forces such as magnetism and strong/weak atomic force come into play.
The Adjuvant: Manipulators that alter the nature of forces themselves, capeable of reverting, negating, and amplifying forces. At higher levels they can even access the quantum plane of existence and begin to draw power from it, manipulating even the flow of events picking and chosing which potential reality could take place.
The Aimless: Jacks of all trades that are capeable of performing any level of any dicipline of manipulation, but in turn must sacrifice reliably. Instead of starting off with 5 abilities of having a ability cap, they simply state what they want to do and how it turns out, though if too many things work out positively for them in a row, things horrid are bound to occur.
Soon those who have been chosen by fate shall embark on a grand journey to discover the secrets of the universe. But in an ever-altered universe, can any secrets truly stay hidden?
