Maestro: Gray.
Deadthunder: Phrost.
This is a major segment from our canon RP Nightmare Night. This was just an exchange between Gray and I. I feel that it really captivated Gray's abilities, and my trying too hard.
Deadthunder landed before Maestro. "Why is my cousin crying," he started, "and what was your part in it?" He read his face like a map.
"She's crying because I ruined her life," Maestro said, his expression and tone blank. "It's all my fault, she had nothing to do with it." He continued to walk, pushing past the pegasus.
Deadthunder didn't let him pass. "This is my fucking cousin. She took me in when I needed her most, and I helped her when she needed it," Deadthunder retorted, "She's allowed me to redeem myself. I've allowed her to do things she otherwise couldn't do. And Luna-fucking help me- if I'm going to let some pansy-flank newpony ruin all that we've worked for. Now. I'm going to ask again. What the fuck did you do?"
"You know, that's a real nice story. Maybe you can tell it to me later, when I DON'T feel like my life is complete and utter shit," Maesto hissed. "I was a moron who got your cousin to realize she couldn't deal with Death anymore, happy?!" With one final shove, Maestro pushed past Dead.
"Maestro," Deadthunder said, not looking at him, "You're only making it worse by walking away from your fights. I've lost what respect I had for you because of this. The first thing they teach us in the Flock's flight school: Never run away. Don't back down. Don't be a fucking pansy and let others clean up your mess." Deadthunder turned to Maestro. "As a fellow pegasus, I hope you realize this. Now I can't tell you what to do, but I'd like to ask you to go to her. Make it less critical." Again, Deadthunder flew up into the air, blending in with the night sky.
Maestro let out a scream, unable to take it anymore. "YOU TELL ME NOT TO RUN, THEN YOU DO THE FUCKING SAME!? GET BACK HERE, YOU COWARD!!" Maestro took off into the air, trying to track down Dead.
Deadthunder floated down to meet Maestro's gaze. He debated whether or not to point out that he's the only one in the Flock that can actually do what he does. Whether or not to point out many other things, but he decided against it. "You called?"
Maestro hovered, silently fuming. "What do you want me to do? You want me to go and beat the shit out of Death? You want me to go and console Fluttershy?" Maestro asked, gritting his teeth. "Well, I can't do those things. Nothing I say will make Fluttershy feel better, and fighting with Death is the exact opposite of what needs to happen. If you're such an expert, tell. me. what. to. do." Tears appeared in his eyes as he emphasised those last words.
